Testimonial

The Advanced Diploma in Health Science has given me the skills to provide Reflexology and Swedish Massage treatments for people in all walks of life with varying levels of health. I decided to do this course in order to broaden my skills base in the area of complementary and holistic health. As a mature student I found the course to be challenging, interesting and very fulfilling. It was wonderful to meet lovely people on my course and to be able to reconnect with them even when the course was finished, we had a great bunch! Everyone helped each other especially on the in-house work experience days in the 'Poise Health & Beauty Salon'. This provided me with the necessary working skills that I need in order to carry out holistic treatments professionally. I was fortunate to have had such inspirational and motivating tutors.

Work Experience

Work Experience takes place in the popular Poise salon at GTI in Room 11 which is operated and managed by the students and teachers on this programme. Students on this programme are also eligible to apply for a fully funded work placement in a European country through the Leargas Mobility Initiative.

The Erasmus + Programme will allow a certain number of legible participants the coveted opportunity to practice and develop their skills and knowledge with a broad based client range in Tenerife or Glasgow. This will enhance their work profile and Curriculum Vitae.

European Work Placement Option

Learners may have a unique opportunity to complete a European Work Placement in a recognised Holistic Health area. These placements are fully funded by Leargas through the EU Commission as part of the Erasmus+ Programme.
