GTI Fashion Showcase

The GTI annual Model Walk, which put the spotlight on the unique creations of new generation emerging GTI Fashion Student talent, took place on Thursday evening, April 6th . An abundance of fashion, hair and makeup innovation was showcased in this very special college event. Galway City Centre became a catwalk as up to 40 models wearing the most creative and stunning designs from GTI Fashion Studio, walked from GTI 

The route took the models across Wolfe Tone Bridge, to Spanish Arch, through Quay Street, Shop Street and up to Cara Pharmacy in Edward Square and then returning back to GTI. 

GTI Fashion Showcase 2017 opened on Monday 27th of March with an exhibition of Photoshoots at BORN, Newtownsmith which was open until Wednesday 5th of April at 6pm in the stylish surrounds of one of Galway's most glamorous shops. Thursday 30th of March saw Anthony Ryan's shop window come alive. The models in the window wore creations by talented GTI Fashion Students. The theme of GTI Fashion Showcase this year is “THE CREATIVES”.

GTI Fashion Showcase is an annual applied learning event organised  by GTI Fashion students in collaboration with many different departments at GTI – Hairdressing, Beauty, Media, Security Studies. The 3 courses involved within the Fashion Department are  Fashion Design, Fashion Retail and Fashion Styling, Buying & Visual Merchandising.

THURSDAY 30 MARCH 12-5pm: "LIVE" windows in Anthony Ryans. Charity Street Collection 12-5pm for Galway Hospice.

THURSDAY 6 APRIL Fashion Walk, with over 40 models wearing creations from GTI Fashion Department departs GTI at 5pm and walking via Spanish Arch to Edward Square and CARA Pharmacy.
