Course Overview: 
 
An essential course for learning how to use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness to help deal with stress, anxiety, low moods and low self esteem. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness are a powerful combination in learning to manage negative thoughts and beliefs. This course is a practical introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and its application to managing stress. The course will benefit anyone wishing to learn and apply Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to themselves. It may also be of benefit to relevant health professionals (counsellors, psychotherapists, psychiatric nurses etc.) as part of continuing professional development.

Dealing with negative thinking
Mindfulness practice
Managing difficult emotions and moods
Managing anxiety and worry
Overcoming Insomnia
Learning effective Relaxation techniques
Building self acceptance
 
Please note that this course is of a practical and experiential nature involving self reflective exercises and practice between classes. 
 
Note to Student:
 
Please bring along a mat to lie on for the relaxation and mindfulness exercises.
