International Award in Hairdressing – Hair Extensions

Cost - Certification and Tuition €210

Kit – to be supplied by student- to include bond gun, Pliars, Bond removal lotion, Hair disk.

Hair for full head of bonds is to be supplied by the student

PRACTICAL

Candidates are required to carry out TWO different methods of hair extension attachment methods and one removal as follows

a. Micro beads

b. Bonding

c. Removal

Bonding is carried out on a full head and the other two must cover a minimum of 25% of the head

THEORY

Candidates are required to do a short assignment on factors that need to considered when carrying out a hair extension service, and research and produce information on problems that may occur as part of an hair extension service

Candidates must complete a short multiple choice test on hair extensions

Course will take place over 4 classes

1. Health and safety assignment. Demonstration and practice of all techniques, Delivery of requirements for assignment - 4hrs

2. Practice class , Micro beads ¼ assessment (25% cover) - 4hrs + Multiple choice test 1hr

3. Removal, assessment (25% cover) - 4hrs

4. Bonds, assessment (Full head) - 4hrs
