This programme is suitable for individuals who wish to gain skills in capturing the human form through life drawing. The programme is suitable for absolute beginners and those who may want to brush up on some basics.

During the ten weeks we will look at the basics of life drawing building on confidence,problem solving and seeing as an artist.

Gerard Smith had a BA Hons Visual Media Production (Animation) Ballyfermot College of Further Education (BCFE)

Gerard has 20 years experience in capturing the human form through art. He graduated from Ballyfermot College of Further Education with a distinction in life drawing. Ballyfermot College is world renowned for its high level of life drawing. His background in Animation relies heavily on the observation of real life and requires him to give drawings the illusion of life. Gerard has taught life drawing for years and enjoys helping students progress in their pursuit of capturing the human form be it for professional or recreational reasons.

Materials Needed:

Example Paper is supplied. First class: students should bring a range of pencils (2B, 4B, 6B), eraser and pencil sharpener. Further materials will be discussed in class.
