Course Name: Woodturning

Course Overview:

This course is a introductory course to woodturning and students will have a final product produced by the end of the course.

Course Outline:

This course concentrates on the proper use of the basic tools to get the wood to cut cleanly.

The correct method of sharpening is covered. By week 6, the students will have built up sufficient skills to be able to tackle some projects.

The making of an object gives the student a marvelous sense of achievement.
