This course is suitable for individuals who want to start their own podcast, encompassing the planning, recording, editing and publishing stages.

  • Podcast formats and categories.
  • Choosing a title, episode length, and frequency.
  • Research, scripting, and interview techniques.
  • Equipment to use.
  • Recording your podcast.
  • Editing your podcast.
  • Adding music.
  • Publishing and promotion.

Entry Requirements

This program is for people who want to go from podcast listeners to creators. Access to a smartphone is required.

Tutor Biography

Alan Meaney is an award-wining independent radio and podcast producer, specialising in dramas, documentaries, and short features. His work has been airedon RTE, Newstalk, Resonance FM, and on various community and regional stations. Alan is a qualified QQI trainer and enjoys engaging students with practical and informative classes.
