Make Up Artistry - Introduction Tuesday

Course Overview

In this course you will learn the basic principles of Make Up Artistry, from Foundation to Eyes, Liner to Brows (below find each week’s content). In each class there will be an element of basic theory (notes provided) with a demonstration by Aisling. Students will get an opportunity in each class to put their skills learned into practice on themselves at times and on a partner at other times depending on the week. By the end of the course, students will design and practice their own look from start to finish using all of the skills learned over the 8 weeks.

Course Content

Week 1: Introduction to course content and basic hygiene procedures. Introduction to skin prep and an in depth look at make-up brushes. Please bring a Pen and Paper

Week 2:Introduction to Foundation: An in depth look into Foundation, Concealing and Colour Correcting.

Week 3: Contour and Highlight Learn the theory of Contour and Highlight how to apply to the different face shapes successfully.

Week 4: Brows and Lips: Learn how to measure brows according to the face shape. How to apply and use the different types of brow products. The perfect red lip.

Week 5: Eyes: Learn the theory of Colour and Eye shapes, how to apply eye shadow to the different eyes shapes successfully.

Week 6: Liner and Lashes: Learn 3 different liner skills plus false lash application

Week 7: Day to Night. Put into practice all of your skills learned in week 1-6 plus introduction to Smokey Eyes.

Week 8: Demo on full make up look of student’s choice by Aisling, Students will design their own look of choice and will create it on a partner in class.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements but a keen interest in Make Up Artistry would be a benefit.
