This 10 week programme provides a comprehensive overview of the public relations industry in Ireland. Learners will gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to plan and execute all aspects of a public relations campaign. The course is very practical, includes plenty of group work, discussion and opportunities to apply the learning.

Participants who have completed this programme will be able to:

· Understand how PR works and how it differs from other elements of the marketing mix

· Write a comprehensive PR plan

· Liaise effectively with the media and write effective news releases

· Plan and prepare for an event or exhibition

· Utilise social media effectively

· Understand the value of sponsorship

· Use PR techniques for crisis management

· Write promotional material such as brochures and online content

· Deliver an effective presentation
