Creative Fiction Writing Tuesday

Award: Certification of Attendance (on request)

Course overview:

This course seeks to read, write and workshop creative writing - the short story, the long story, poetry and a smattering of scriptwriting. We welcome complete beginners as well as those who have been writing for a while and would like to find new ways to move forward with their story.

Course Content:

The course will begin with writing exercises and reading successful short stories, poems and excepts from longer stories. We will brainstorm ideas for your own work and share them, while exploring the technical side of good (and bad) writing. You will learn some techniques in style, concision and narrative and apply those skills to your own writing. We will be workshopping your material in progress, where you'll be given constructive feedback on your story.
