Hairdressing and Barbering Year 2 - Senior Trades - City and Guilds
A student who has achieved a QQI Level 5 Award and/or Junior Trades in Hairdressing in Year 1 or has relevant hairdressing experience, may qualify to enter Hairdressing Year 2 and study for Senior Trades & City & Guilds qualifications at GTI. Having completed Senior Trades, a graduate may enter the industry as a Senior Improver.
This course will provide students who wish to have a career in hairdressing with the range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed in this rewarding area of the hairdressing industry. They are widely accepted by employers around the world as the benchmark for workplace excellence and provide learners with the skills they need to succeed in today’s fast changing economic environment.

Year 2 Awards Certification in Senior Trades Examination Department of Education & Skills & Diploma in Women's Hairdressing Level 2 - City & Guilds Candidates who have achieved Level 2 City & Guilds, may register for Level 3 City & Guilds.

Learners may also have the opportunity to study Maths as an extra module.
Year 2 offers certification in Senior Trades Examination (Department of Education & Skills) and City & Guilds Level 2 or 3.

This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.
Full-time registered students of GTI may access a range of adult education courses at a reduced fee.
