This course will provide students with the knowledge, skills and qualifications necessary to pursue a career in the area of Special Needs Assisting. Students will receive training in the skills, knowledge and understanding of the role of the special needs assistant in different settings.

Primary and Secondary Schools as well as specialist schools employ Special Needs Assistants to work in a variety of educational settings. Students may progress to participating Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme.See www.cao.ie for specific requirements.
