Theatrical, Media and Fashion Make-Up ITEC Diploma
Make-up Artistry is the ideal course for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the ever-expanding beauty/fashion & media industries. From fashion to film, this course provides learners with an introduction to the skills required to work as a make-up artist. As part of this course students create make-up looks for fashion shows, magazine shoots and theatrical performances and in the process develop a comprehensive portfolio featuring a range of different looks
Provide students who wish to have a career in Make-up Artistry with the range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed in the industry. Students will learn everything from practical make-up application and skincare to simulation of wounds & special effects for Film, TV and Theatre. This course enables learners to gain the necessary practical skills and knowledge in order to provide fashion, theatrical and media make-up to the general public and performers and to gain employment in the theatrical and media make-up industry.

Make-up artistry career opportunities exist in the fields of cosmetic sales, film, television, photography, theatre, fashion and the print-media. Graduates work as professional make-up and special-effects artists. Freelance or contract employment in media productions and presentations is common. The Skin Treatment Diploma enables graduates to gain employment in beauty salons and/or as freelance therapists/make-up artists. The work is varied, interesting and rewarding.
This is a full-time one year course and runs from September to May.
