Fashion and Photographic Make-up and Eyelash Extensions ITEC Level 3
Make-up Artistry is the ideal course for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the ever-expanding beauty/fashion & media industries. From fashion to film, this course provides learners with an introduction to the skills required to work as a make-up artist. As part of this course students create make-up looks for fashion shows, magazine shoots and theatrical performances and in the process develop a comprehensive portfolio featuring a range of different looks.
The main aim of the VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Fashion and Photographic Make-up is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills in order to provide fashion and photographic treatments to the general public and to gain employment in the make-up and photographic industry. This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and over and is designed to provide occupational competence at level 3. It also provides a sound platform into further training at level 4.

Make-up artistry career opportunities exist in the fields of cosmetic sales, film, television, photography, theatre, fashion and the print-media. Graduates work as professional make-up and special-effects artists. Freelance or contract employment in media productions and presentations is common. The Skin Treatment Diploma enables graduates to gain employment in beauty salons and/or as freelance therapists/make-up artists. The work is varied, interesting and rewarding.
This is a full-time one year course and runs from September to May.
