ONGOING: KA1 Student Placements 2021–2025

KA1 Erasmus+ 2021–2025

Between 2021 and 2025, GTI’s KA1 Erasmus+ programmes continued to flourish, offering transformative opportunities for students and staff alike. Throughout these years, students from a wide range of disciplines—including Business and Law, IT, Nursing, Emergency Care, Special Needs Assisting, Media, Hair & Beauty, Sport & Physical Therapy, and Animal Care—participated in international placements across destinations such as Finland, Poland, Malta, Málaga, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Turkey.

Erasmus+ placements have consistently provided significant benefits for students, enhancing their personal, academic, and professional development. For many, the experience has become one of the highlights of their educational journey, creating lasting friendships and unforgettable memories. These international placements support holistic development by blending classroom learning with practical, real-world experience in diverse cultural settings.

Across the 2021–2025 period, our teaching staff also engaged in a variety of Courses and Training mobilities abroad. These opportunities strengthened professional skills, promoted international networking, exposed staff to innovative teaching methodologies, enhanced language proficiency, and deepened cultural awareness. As part of these initiatives, GTI also welcomed visiting experts from Finland and Turkey, bringing specialised knowledge and enriching both teaching and learning within the college.

Our ongoing KA1 programmes throughout 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 continued to provide invaluable opportunities. Students once again immersed themselves in new cultures, living and working abroad while gaining exposure to different languages, traditions, and workplace environments. This hands-on international experience fostered adaptability, strengthened communication and problem-solving abilities, and encouraged effective collaboration within multicultural teams.

Overall, the KA1 Erasmus+ programmes from 2021 to 2025 played a vital role in shaping well-rounded, globally minded students and staff, reinforcing GTI’s commitment to fostering educational excellence through international engagement.
